After attending and experiencing the 2010 World Indigenous Business Forum, it was both an honour and a privilege to have been invited as a presenter at the 2011 World Indigenous Business Forum in New York City. As the Chair of the Lands Advisory Board and Chief of the Westbank First Nation, I firmly believe that Indigenous Peoples must re-assert jurisdiction over the lands and resources and be recognized as governmental bodies. The World Indigenous Business Forum was an opportunity for leaders and businesses to share expertise, experience and inspiration.
